🌲 About the Place
Moskosel Creative Lab is a creative platform located in the former school building of Moskosel — a village at the edge of the Arctic Circle in northern Sweden. Operated by the non-profit Moskosel Creative Park & Northern Sustainable Futures, the lab supports artists and thinkers experimenting with sustainable, community-engaged, and transformative practices in a rural context.

CALL 1: TakeOver Residency
Northern Sustainable Futures and Moskosel Creative Park invite artists, performers, and cultural visionaries to apply for our Takeover Residency in Northern Sweden. This unique program offers selected participants the opportunity to take over a space in our Moskosel Creative Lab — a former school turned experimental platform — and shape it into a living, evolving project.
Whether you're planning an immersive installation, a public-facing event, or a collaborative intervention, this is your chance to transform space, engage community, and reimagine what creative work can be at the edge of Europe.
Open to artists who can contribute to the cost of their stay. We offer an accessible, well-supported package that includes:
✧ 30 to 90 days at Moskosel Creative Lab
✧ Private accommodation
✧ Studio/workspace access
✧ On-site support and opportunities to connect with the local context
✧ Artist Residency Fee: $750 USD (covers housing, studio use, and admin support)

Northern Sustainable Futures and Moskosel Creative Park invite creators from all disciplines to apply for our residency in Northern Swedish. Located in our Lab heart of the boreal forest village of Moskosel, this residency offers space, time, and community for creators to dive into their practice in an environment shaped by nature, and creative experimentation.
This is more than a residency — it’s a platform for transformation, connection, and bold ideas at the edge of Europe.

This self-directed residency is open to artists who can contribute to the cost of their stay. We offer an accessible, well-supported package that includes:

Applicants must:

Have a valid passport and the ability to travel to Sweden

Be open to sharing your creative process with a wider audience

Respect the rural environment and small-town rhythm of Moskosel

To support visibility, dialogue, and documentation, selected artists will be expected to:
