Christoph Zeckel is a German/Malaysian experimental musician and sound artist based in Porto. Seeing sound as a playground and a field of exploration while drawing inspiration from the natural world and its unique complex compositions, he creates works based on field recordings and obscure technologies, seeking to elicit a sense of wonder, curiosity and meditative listening space.
In recent years he has presented his work in live performances, sound installations and workshops in various international venues and events such as NART, Culterim Gallery, De Liceiras 18, Térmita and in several venues in Poland, Albania, Germany and Switzerland.
Christoph have been supported by Culture Moves Europe Programme for a 4 months residency, where he developed the works STUDY OF RADIO-NATURE RELATIONSHIP and PING THING, as well as did other collaborative works with other artists in residence.
Culture Moves Residencies was funded by the European Union and implemented by the Goethe-Institut.
