As a playwright and experience designer Maria is interested in the hybrid field of drama, dance, technology and dramaturgy for all senses. Often in interactive and site specific performances, blending physical and virtual worlds to play with perspectives and ideas. Inspired by performative action, ceremonies and rituals to create meaningful transitions and interactions.
Through her open collective The Event Horizon she recently explores how performance can communicate. In the process she has collaborated with researchers in the field, and visited the neutrino observatory Super-Kamiokande in Japan. Previous work includes; Robinsons Resa - Helsingborgs Stadsteater,
Emilia (short film) - Bryggan, Fräng (music web series for SVT) awarded by Nöjesguiden.
Education; MPA (Malmö Theatre school), Cross media (SKH), Dance dramaturgy (Kulturakademin), Pedagogy (Stockholm University).
