Ongoing Realities (OR) is Swedish artist duo Johan Bandholtz and Anna Näsström & an exploratory choreographic approach investigating the relationship and creative possibilities when merging dance and choreography with various digital and analogue technologies. OR produce both stage- and site specific performances together with a multidisciplinary team of dancers, animators, music artists and designers and work with Motion Capture, digital animation, Virtual Reality, film
and lately Augmented Reality and recyclable paper scenography.
Anna Näsström & Johan Bandholtz are both dancers & choreographers educated at Stockholm University of Arts and have had continous support for their work with OR from funding bodies such as The Swedish Arts Council, The Swedish Arts Grants Committee, Riksteatern and different residencies. Apart from their artistic backgrounds they have a joint educational background in social
anthropology, psychology, political science and gender studies.
Ongoing Realities have created a piece called BA 065 for iM KONSTHALL. It's a historic journey and homage to the rallare who spent tough lives on the rails and the ones who lost their lives in the 1935 train accident 27th of june outside Moskosel. It's also an exploration of the workers position, manhood or masculinity as well as the worth of a life.
