Tina Willgren is a visual artist working primarily with digital techniques. She lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden, where she received her MFA at the Royal Institute of Art in 2005. In her videos, installations, AR- and VR-pieces, she explores the mind and body in relation to the contemporary world. Recent activities include participation in “Bienalsur”, La Paz, Bolivia and “Re-Connect Art”, Prague Biennale, Czech Republic, as well as a permanent AR piece for “KunstwanderwegXR”, Naturpark Hoher Fläming, Germany.

The VR piece "Halvklart" draws inspiration from imagery and body gestures associated with televised weather forecasting. Within the immersive experience, many types of weather coexist simultaneously. A collage of spawning symbols, scans of snow piles, audio jingles, IR satellite imagery, rain, snow, and wind come together, accompanied by disjointed characters acting as weather presenters.

Tina's piece for iM KONSTHALL "Halvklart" delves into the human desire to predict and exert control over external circumstances, despite the inherent difficulties in doing so. Its title is a Swedish weather term meaning "partly clear/cloudy," which additionally alludes to "half completed", reflecting the constant necessity to adjust to changing conditions.
