I am from Ukraine, from Kyiv. My country is still at war with Russia. The idea: to create a visualization of Ukrainian city street in 3D space, along which everyone can walk, wearing 3D glasses. Everything looks very peaceful and comfortable. But, a minute later, an air alarm begins – we hear the siren. People on the street begin to panic, scatter, and the character is left alone. The bombardment of the city begins.
A person who`s wearing 3D glasses can fully experience what is happening in Ukrainian cities during the hostilities. The aim of the project: After months of the Russian-Ukrainian War, news about it are perceived not as a shocking event, but as an information background.
This project aims to immerse a person in the Ukrainian reality and remind that the War has not gone anywhere. Yugoslav will be collaborating with dance artists Valeria Koptseva for the iM KONSTHALL piece. This residency is co funded by Estrad Norr, Västerbotten.
